Bestival Day Two Photo Journal Fancy Dress Madness 2007.

Whilst last year’s fancy dress parade was a record breaking success with more than 15,000 fancy dress themed individuals parading the Bestival site. This year’s parade, started earlier on Saturday at 3pm and was led by guess what? a Pirate Ship!.
This years parade will no doubt prove to be another record breaker fancy dress of pirates, wenches, superheros and cartoon characters, with the odd lobster and mermaid thrown in for good measure.
Fellow Bestivalites were heard to say, “how great the Bestival was, especially the fancy dress as, where else could you say you’ve shared the loo with Freddie Mercury, Captain Jack Sparrow, and a Superhero”

Entering into the spirit Madness took the main stage at around 6.30pm and wowed the crowd with opening set delayed due to an explosive start, a massive bang possibly a fuse blew, who knows but they still have that Madness magic belting out hits such as One Step Beyond, It Must Be Love and Our House across the idyllic landscape of Robin Hill.

Beastie Boys having joined The Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream as the main headliners for this weekend’s Bestival ended the main stage act on day two. The Boys however are rumoured to play two shows at this weekend’s Bestival, as well as headlining on the main stage last night the band also intend to play a special show today.
Sunday Show at Bestival? Beastie Boys said in a recent interview that the inspiration for two shows at Bestival had come from their gigs at London’s Brixton Academy earlier this week.
